Vintage ROG Guild Opticians Sign publisher 7" W x 4" Dc. 1940s; Guild of Prescription Opticians of America Philadelphia Reverse painted ophthalmologist sign. The "Guild" refers to a collective of opticians around the United States who held themselves to what they considered a "higher standard" than other eye care professionals. See attached photo for more info regarding this Guild. This sign would have been prominently displayed in the window entry way of the medical office of one of these Guild
