Not much is known of this officer except that on April 16th 1947 he was confirmed as a full Submarine Lieutenant from being an "acting" Submarine Lieutenant by King George VI as this was reported in the LONDON GAZETTE in November 1948

It has some stains and small holes around the edge

The mine features and all steel body

so it probably has had the point reprofiled at some point
