This is a typical example of the short swords used in what is today Indonesia. It has a single edge leaf shaped 12 1 2 inch long blade, made of what appears to be Wootz or Damascus steel. This is a crucible made laminated steel, and is very common in the Eastern Pacific Islands. It has a very characteristic tropical tiger flame figured wood pommel, with a silver clad grip section. The overall length is 20 inches.
