Very Endearing Early Staffordshire Little Lamb star design I think these papier mache

I think these papier mache eggs are mini masterpieces

11 3/4" in diameter x 1" tall and in excellent condition without a flaw that I can find

lighter one is 1 3/4" diameter

it would be easy to tie a string or ribbon around the end and hang it from the wall just to admire it

to set the pair of figures spinning

Very Endearing Early Staffordshire Little Lamb star design I think these papier macheI've left this little Staffordshire lamb with its full patina on it; a soak might whiten it up some, but part of why I love it so much is that it looks it has lived quite a life, which certainly it has, dating to the 1840s or so. Wonderfully textural treatment of the wool, and wonderful little hand painted face, making this lamb look a a bit forlorn as it lounges on its little island, with a band of gold paint around the bottom perimeter.
