I assume by a onetime owner who assembled it

as it was definitely made to stand up to heavy play

and this one has a lovely softness about it

British I believe and I'd guess made of boxwood

with the only loss I believe a bit of the black horsehair at the end

1894 Van Hornesville, NY First Annual Odd Fellows Ball Invitation Flores Imperio candleholders I assume by a onetimeHard to beat an all seeing eye, and I think the golden rays framing this one are especially good, as is the lettering on the banner hanging below it. With three gold links from which that blue banner hangs. Looks like silkscreen to me, printed on the face of an invitation to the First Annual Ball of the the Van Hornesville (NY) Lodge, 1894 to which "yourself and ladies" were invited! 5" x 3 1 2" closed. Dramatic toning to the front, which I like.
