I just fell in love with the drawing itself--a perfect combination of exactly the sort of thing one might observe on the streets of Paris and a wonderfully concise

The one at left in first photo was made by Oregon

There is a loop at top from which it could be hung from a wire or ribbon or string--I might suggest from the ceiling so as to float in mid-air like the sun

and signed on the underside of one foot

Happily, at an estate sale this past weekend I snatched up a handful, which very well might all of have been made by the same person, most likely a young woman, 150+ years ago or so.
