At first seeing this we thought it must be some sort of Rampart or Wall Gun, but we have since learned from a true authority that it is known as a ROAH rifle, expressly made for the Boer settlers of South Africa during the 1850's. It is a massive four (4) bore, 1" inch across the muzzle which is 25mm. It is totally unmarked other than the Lige, Belgium stamp of E. L. G. * in an oval. The 30 1 2 inch long barrel is fitted
