And the lifting the front latch up loosens the lid

the paper cutouts are a bit off center

(I have not cleaned him)

A little paint loss along the left edge in addition to stains along the right edge and over the water

Old Pine Carved Bust of Sober Looking Man in Coat and Tie carved Walnut Quite a wonderful thingI was thinking this guy would be good illuminated by the folk art lamp with pin up girls I just listed, as perhaps they might cheer him up a bit! I'm not sure if he was meant to represent a president I'm not recognizing, or a bureaucrat, or who, but he definitely has an officialness about him! Carved of pine. 3 3 4" t x 1 3 4" w x 2" d and in good condition with a great patina; there is a scatter of little surface marks on one short side as documented.
