It needs a piece of glass, but then would be great for so many things. Overall: 7" x 6 5 8" x 1 2" Recess on the back is 5" x 4 3 4" with 4 5 8" x 4 3 8" visibility from front. There is one chip midway down one long side, just visible from the backside. Otherwise, great antique condition with a beautiful patina; the wood is very smooth.
