This wonderful little solid brass duck lives most happily on a desk

or folded over something (I've seen a few fabulous old wooden boxes and panels clad in these

) General wear to the wood and a bit of light staining to the fabric

is just about the best I've seen

The yellow house is a great old German Erzgebirge one, with the paint worn soft just like I like them. The old carved basket was found in Maine and reminds me of a little whimsy.
