There is some damage (with repair) to the front collar

The MG 15 was also used as an infantry weapon with an adapter to take ground mounts and ultimately some were converted to water cooled as the high rate of fire was burning out the air cooled barrels at sea level

Unfortunately we are not able to see any of the markings on the band due to corrosion and how tightly it fits
