This is just a little one

but the kindly looking donkey upon which he is perched seems much more interested in his little dog friend than in turning around to help

and his original etchings and wood engravings appeared in books authored by Victor Hugo

but also a nice one to hang in the entry with "Open House" showing as a sign of welcome and also open-mindedness (or turn it to Auction when you are fed up with it all

I love all the little bits of wood, painted white or green, framing the windows and doors, with nice detailing to the lovely soft green roof and chimneys too. 9" x 4" x 5" tall and in very good condition, no losses or issues at all that I can see.
