I've developed such a fondness for these punch/perforated paper embroideries as they were done with much greater immediacy than needlepoint samplers on cloth

I very much appreciate ones of the more elaborate and skillfully rendered sort, with lots and lots of fancy outfits, but it is a doll like this, with very naive (and very very expressive!) graphite drawn face, that for me is the best of all. And then these hats! And the excellent cut paper patterns applied to the blocky dresses to my eye pure and simple
