It is in fully working order and on the rear there is an engraving of a NSDAP circled swas over engraved inscription Eigentum Gau Südbayern A

It was never fitted with shoulder boards or loops

The boards measure 18" x 13" and appear to have been part of a larger book

This is a rare example of a Pre WWII German Reichswehr Gas Mask carry bag for the Model 1924 Gas Mask

though it does not meet at the back of the helmet due to the size difference
