James H. Adaire, Spencerian Birds and Banner, Ink and Crayon Drawing, 1905, Spring Grove PA gold beaded If anything ever had aA few more today by a young J. H Adaire of Spring Grove, PA, dated 1905 I bought and sold a handful a month or two ago, then just went back to the seller to scoop up a handful more. Just my sort of drawings. This one feels like a bit of a hybrid very Spencerian in the style of the birds and banners, but with a very Pennsylvania folk art sense of color! Lovely. 9" x 5 1 2" and in good condition, with wonderful strong and bold color.
