This is the outstanding Civil War era Cavalry Officers Frock Coat worn by James Alfred Dennison, a veteran of the Civil War who enlisted at 15 years old, serving with the 15th Missouri Volunteer Infantry, later reenlisting in the 8th Missouri Cavalry. He was a cadet at West Point Military Academy from 1866 1870 upon appointment by Congressman Kelso. Afterwards he served as an officer with the 2nd Artillery, then the 8th
