giving it strength and a nice sheen

Hoary Comma Butterfly with Pink Flowers, Lovely 19th Century Ink and Watercolor gaming set The set is complete andA few last 19th century ink and watercolor butterfly drawings from a portfolio of half a dozen or so I purchased from a favorite dealer in the Hudson River Valley several weeks ago. This butterfly is unidentified on the page, but a quick search tells me the beautiful orange creature is known as a Hoary Comma! Very finely done, with some gold painted details on the body and near interior of the wings, and then this very delicate spring of pink blooms.
