I'd guess this vase dates to the late 20th or early 21st century

and though it was a bit deflated when I found it

Sugar: 5 1/2" t x 4 7/8" d

so probably better not to put on a pristine surface--or else one could certainly adhere a new paper or felt bottom

I've long been admiring old hand cut quilting templates but have waited for just the right one to emerge, which to my eye this one is! Cut of pale blue cardboard, even better for its hand stitched mend, with lovely four sided form and eight point star cut out of the center. Strongly graphic but also very folky and tender feeling, well used and perfectly aged,
