An Order of the German Eagle, Merit Medal in Bronze to Spanish Recipient consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac with blue and white embroidery(Deutsche Verdienstmedaille in Bronze). Instituted 1 May 1937. (1937 1945 issue). Constructed of bronzed zink, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon affixed to a classic Spanish style bronze buckle indicating issue to a foreign recipient, the obverse bearing a raised Maltese Cross with pebbled arms joined through the quadrants by NSDAP style German national eagles clutching wreathed mobile swastikas, the reverse bearing a raised
