A large silver convex star consisting of five, hand filed arms, each with ball finials, with clusters of smooth gilt rays in each quadrant, obverse centre with gilt Maltese cross with laurels presenting a rearing crowned Belgian Lion on a black enameled background, blue motto "Unity Is Strength" in French (L'union fait la force), with separably affixed gilt crown,
