Germany, Imperial. A First World War Patriotic Vase, by Meissen Porcelain United Republic of Application for Campaign Medals (1939-45(Porzellanvase). Constructed of glazed white porcelain, the exterior bearing a central hand painted 1914 Iron Cross, situated against a radiant gilded starburst, flanked on each side by laurel branches, and situated above gilt dates 1914 1916, with the base, lower quarter, and rim adorned with gilt tresses, the base maker marked with the logo of Meissen Porcelain, measuring 14 cm (w) x 16. 5 cm (h), demonstrating minor flecking to the glaze but with
